Who are you?
Oxford Neurotech is an interdisciplinary team of students who are passionate about neurotechnology. Team members include students studying engineering, mathematics, psychology, medicine, and neuroscience. We design, develop and build non-invasive devices which interface between computers and the human brain. In addition to our primary activities, Oxford Neurotech also hosts social and speaker events throughout term.
What is neurotechnology?
Neurotechnology is a rapidly developing field of study focussed on the development and use of artificial devices to augment brain function. Applications include restoration of motor function in limited mobility patients, reversal of neurodegenerative disease, and counteracting attention and working memory deficits without recourse to drugs. In addition to treatment-based applications, loner-term neurotechnology solutions could improve our mental and physical abilities beyond natural limits.
